Servers

In extratime, a server is a Discord server (guild) that has the extratime bot installed. Every piece of data — teams, matches, tournaments, leaderboards — is scoped to a single server.

One server, one community

Each Discord server operates as an independent competitive community. Teams created in Server A don’t exist in Server B. This means:
  • A player can be on different teams in different servers
  • ELO ratings are per-server
  • Leaderboards are per-server
  • Tournaments are per-server

Server roles

RoleAccess
OwnerFull access. Can manage billing, delete server data, and transfer ownership.
AdminCan manage teams, players, tournaments, scrims, and bot settings. Cannot access billing.
ModeratorCan manage match results and moderate players.
PlayerCan create/join teams, queue for scrims, and enter tournaments.
Server roles in extratime are synced from Discord. If a user has a role in Discord that’s mapped to an admin role in extratime, they get admin access on the dashboard automatically.

Bot presence

The extratime bot tracks which servers it’s currently in. If the bot is removed from a server, the data is preserved but the server is marked as inactive. Re-adding the bot restores access.
